Flowers

Here are some macro photos I took of some flowers recently.  The top three are double Impatiens and the bottom ones are Dianthus.

Dianthus, isn't that deathly nightshade? Sure is pretty! Our dahlias are just getting started and the nights are getting quite coolish.I think I might get one vine-ripened tomato. What a crummy year for gardens we had! Maybe next year. Glad you got some pretty flowers over there to enjoy. I'm so sad summer is over!

Dianthus is actually in the carnation family. They're a very cute little mounding annual that produce a great variety of flower shades (as you can see!)If I remember correctly, I only got one six-pack of them and they came out with all these great flowers!
