As the title of this post implies, there's really no rhyme or reason for it! The colors are changing and our summer-blooming Delphiniums are still going strong well into October on their second round of blossoms for the year.
HI Zach & Debbie, I have a few things still hanging on too. I picked what might be the last bunch of dahlias to take to school this week, Gosh they're pretty. I love how hardy they are. We're still picking tomatoes (Amanda, you rock!) and my zinnias are still so pretty (Amanda you double rock!!)I would love fall much more if winter didn't follow it. I wore a quilted vest for the first time today. (I got too hot, so that's good.)The trees down Willamette are awesome, and I think we should save that word for truly amazing things, which these are. They are so bright they are almost glowing. Love ya! mom (my word is "skicat"-which I certainly am not!)
Hey Zach- I just got to tell you; I visited Jacob's elk blog and my word was "dummache"! Ha! I think I could write a whole blog about that! I think I will!
I love the orange/yellow leaves with the blue flower. Most of our trees here just turned brown because of the killer-hard frost we had a couple weeks ago. The ones that survived are finally turning now. I love the color fall brings.
